Does anyone know a shelf equivalent to the dressing served w/Applebees Oriental chicken salad?

It's mostly an oil-based dressing with some ginger and honey in it as far as I can tell.

If I was to try to make it, I'd start with three egg yolks and whip them until they were light yellow. Then I'd put the bowl over a double boiler with the heat off and add in 1/2c oil and stir until it thickens and gets hot. You have to do this very slowly to prevent the eggs from curdling. Adjust with oil to get the right consistancy. Add in lemon juice, some powdered ginger and honey.

Maybe to make it my own, I'd try adding some orange marmaladeDoes anyone know a shelf equivalent to the dressing served w/Applebees Oriental chicken salad?
It is good dressing, isn't it?

Do you have Aldi's in your area? If you do, they have an Oriental Salad Dressing that is quite excellent. Not exactly the same as Applebee's, but I've added a small amount of mayonnaise to it and it comes out pretty close.

Give it a try.Does anyone know a shelf equivalent to the dressing served w/Applebees Oriental chicken salad?

my husband says if you can give him till tomorrow evening when he gets home, he'll give you the list of ingredients from the dressing they use (i'll edit this reply)

Okay, here goes: he asked around if anyone knew a good equivalent from your local grocery store, but no one had any ideas. He also asked if Applebee's has a scratch recipe (they can make just about everything they buy in a bottle from scratch if they happen to run out of the store bought stuff) So he was thinking if you had the list of ingredients (no measurements, so you probably couldn't make it yourself) you could compare this list to some of the bottles at the store and compare what is unique about this dressing that other dressings there share. However, he doesn't want to get in trouble for giving out a restaurant list of ingredients, so we looked over what was in it %26amp; just want to let you know what is different from a dressing you'd find at the store. It's an italian-type dressing with CHICKEN STOCK. The meat is the only thing in the list that didn't sound like every other dressing out there.

Also, he said you can go to your local Applebee's and if you speak to the manager, they'll probably sell you a bottle (can you say dressing for 6 years....ha ha)
