I need help knowing how to dine in at AppleBees?

My birthday is today, and I am 13 and I am inviting all my friends to AppleBees tonight, with no parents. Well i never been to applebees before. But when all of us are done eating, do i ask the waiter for our check?

also do i leave a tip on the table when we are about to leave? or is it already included in the reciept?

As a server for 20 years, let me tell you how it goes. The server will bring you the check when he/she clears your plates and asks you if you want desert. If they don't, they are a crappy server! Normally, if your party is 8 people or more, the tip will be added to the check...LOOK AT THE BILL!!!!!! If you see the word gratuity, then that's your tip. If they treated you exceptionally well, put a couple extra dollars down on the table or write it in on your charge slip as you leave. That makes the server fell really good and, I tell ya, it's very hard to serve a large party, getting everything straight, and that extra sentiment is truly appreciated, but look at your bill first and see if gratuity was added. If not, do the math and add 20% of the bill for your tip. If you can't work it out yourself, ask the server and they will do the math for you. Trust me. It pays to take care of your server after a party because they worked hard and it's worth it to pay the karma forward.I need help knowing how to dine in at AppleBees?
the server brings the check. you leave tip on the table or with the payment. if you have a large number of people in your group. the restraunt may add tip. look on the menu to see how many
Yeah, generally speaking when you finish your meal and aren't going to order anything else you ask for your check. In most restaurants I've been to, you put the money in a folder they give you when you ask for the receipt, and add a tip there too if you want. It's probably best to hand it to the waiter before you leave, but you can leave it on the table if you want.I need help knowing how to dine in at AppleBees?
well she or he will bring you the check and than you can write the tip in on the reciept or leave it on the table... but yeah you pay there at the table you dont go up to a desk or anything =]

applebees is like a fastfood restaurant. kinda like mcdonalds. its no fancy restaurant but i hope you guys are on your best behavior :) anyways the tip is not included so if your having lunch you should leave 15% if your having dnner you should leave 18% and since its your b-day maybe they'll even sing for you :)I need help knowing how to dine in at AppleBees?

Once you've all finished eating your meals (or dessert) you can ask the waiter or waitress for the check. Once they bring it to your table, look at the totals and sub totals. If tip (also referred to as gratuity) is included, it will say so on the bill. If it isn't, make sure that you leave at least 15% of the bill in tip (If your bill comes to $150 for all 13 people. that means you should leave about $23 in tip). If you can't figure out if the tip has been included, you can always ask your server. I bet that it will be - most restaurants include the tip in the bill if there are more than 6 or 8 people in your group.
