It won't help that you didn't include a reference ,but to get the interveiw and make a good impression beats a reference anyday.Is there any chance of getting a job at Applebees if i did not put any reference on the application?
Every employer is looking for eager, energetic people, who will arrive on-time, work hard and be willing to do whatever is asked of them. No employer wants employees that show-up late, cut corners, and take days off for unimportant reasons. I believe that if you can convince the manager that you are the right person for the job, they will give you an opportunity to prove your self, even if you have no references on your application.



If you have no work experience, you will not have prior employment references. Just to be safe, if you have not worked before, I would call (or visit) the manager. Let him/her know that you had no employment references, but are very interested in the position and would do an excellent job. For entry level positions, this may be enough to convince the manager that you are serious about getting the job.



Alternatively, for entry level positions, non-traditional references may be appropriate. For example, a reference related to volunteer work you did, or a reference from a teacher.
