In Applebees what is that Job when they take orders and get tips? what are they called?

What do you do as that job? what are somethings i should know before taking that job as in like how to take orders, what do say etc.....i'm new in restaurant work so i'm kinda nervous how much do they make in applebees NOT including tipIn Applebees what is that Job when they take orders and get tips? what are they called?
It is called a server, They pay minimum wage for servers, (whatever that is where you are) $2.33/hour here. My honest advice is that if you don't know enough about restaurants to know what a server is called starting off as a server at Applebees is not a good idea. you should probably start of as a host so that you know more about the business. If you do start as a server you have to know how to talk to people and sell stuff to them.In Applebees what is that Job when they take orders and get tips? what are they called?
They're called servers, they get paid $2.13/hr, and they work their asses off. I worked there as a server for a while, but I agree with above, you should start as a host. They will probably want to hire you as a host first anyway, unless you have a lot of work experience that involves a lot of face to face communication, sales, and hardcore multitasking. But you definitely don't know what multitasking is until you're a server. When you do become a server, though, they will put you through a week of training, where you following another server around for a couple days, and they teach you everything, and then let you do some things, and give you constructive criticism. Definitely don't be nervous though. It's a stressful enough job without stressing yourself out. One thing you may not be taught in training is that you will eventually deal with bitchy, annoying, and demanding people, who may leave you a less than desirable tip. It comes with the job. It may not be right for you, but I say, when you're ready, try it out! I think it's really fun :) Good luck.In Applebees what is that Job when they take orders and get tips? what are they called?
well it would be called waiter(male) or waitress(female)... in majorities of restaurant you will make less than minimum wage depends which state your in but its not much and you basically work off tips. If your a good server you might get a big tip but its a fun job when you first start off in the restaurant world... just when you take the job just know that it can be very hard on your feet there is a lot of walking and making sure you cater to all your customers needsIn Applebees what is that Job when they take orders and get tips? what are they called?
What do you do? Drinks, silverware, food, check, and what ever else they want. Multiply that by 10 tables and all at one time.

Things to be a good server? Listening, remembering, knowing your products/sides, knowing your bar, getting the check right. The main thing you need to be is OUTGOING. Tiny little squeamish people don't make the first day in the customer service business.

If this doesn't work, try Subway. That's how and when I learned to "project my voice" and gain confidence in myself. That was many years ago, but the knowledge has remained with me since.
They are known as servers/ waiters/ and waitresses
