How much do cook/food prep make /hr at family restaurant (Applebees, Red Robin, Big Boys, etc)?

I ask because I am filling out applications for these positions and I need to know what to put in "expected wages" column. Thanks! How much do cook/food prep make /hr at family restaurant (Applebees, Red Robin, Big Boys, etc)?
Don't be afraid to ask for more money than you think you're going to get. they wont be offended. With minimal experience, ask for $12 an hour with the hopes they might give you $10. If you write in what you hear they pay ($8.50) that's exactly what they're going to give you... $8.50 and not a penny more. How much do cook/food prep make /hr at family restaurant (Applebees, Red Robin, Big Boys, etc)?
The major chains typically pay a little over minimum wage for positions like that to start... you can expect to make 8.50 - 9.00 to start.

If you have more experience you would get hire starting pay but is sounds like you are new in this particular field.

After about a year, you can expect to be in the 10.00 range. How much do cook/food prep make /hr at family restaurant (Applebees, Red Robin, Big Boys, etc)?
