Tommorow I start orientation to work in Applebees as a hostess? Anyone know how good it is pay is?

I really wanted to know as far as what to expect what not to, any tips anyone has for me. But what I really wanted to know was how much will i be making and is it worth it me being a part-time student as well.Tommorow I start orientation to work in Applebees as a hostess? I was actually the host manager for two Aplebee's in Lexington, Ky. I started my hostess' out at 8.50 per hr, and they got tipshare. We could not legally make the server's tip out, but if you really help them out, bus there tables and seat them fairly, they usually tip out well, unless they are total jerks.

They may have a tip-share program where the servers give you about one percent of their sales to split among all of the hosts in your shift.....and or they probably will pay minimum wage, maybe up to a dollar an hour more...typically tips share will be less than a hundred extra dollars a week......if they do it planon fifty or so.Tommorow I start orientation to work in Applebees as a hostess? Have you already accepted the job? Never accept a job without knowing what you will be paid. Pay is negotiable, even as a hostess. Never take the first offer. Explain that you are a student and need more $$.
