What does Applebees do if they cant run your credit card after you eat your meal and have to pay?

Usually when i go to applebees restaurant i use my credit card to pay for the meal, and of course Applebees makes you pay AFTER you eat, so i was wondering, what IF someone went there to eat, ordered their food, ate it, and the waiter/waitress brings them the check, they hand the waiter/waitress their check and credit card, and if they cannot run thru your credit card ( card gets denied ) what would Applebees make the customer do since they couldnt pay for their meal???|||If the card is denied then you'll be given a chance to pay another way. If you cannot pay and can't arrange to have someone bring the money, you could be arrested for theft. It's all up to the manager and how they want to handle it. Sometimes they'll let you leave your driver's license as collateral until you can come back with the money, or maybe hold onto some other valuable like a watch or ring. I know they have the right to have you arrested if you cannot pay but probably depends on how much you owe. It's always a good idea to have some cash or other card just in case you get into a jam. If you card just won't swipe because the magnetic strip is damaged, they can manually run your card by punching in the numbers and exp date.|||they make you puke the food and clean the dishes.|||If your card is denied (insufficient funds) and you have no cash, They can have you arrested for theft of service. They could have you wait until someone you know brings the money. I can't really see them letting you go and mailing the money..if they did it for you, they would have to do it for everyone and no one would pay. If your cards topped it's limit %26amp; won't pay the restaurant demands payment. If they know you they may let you come in %26amp; pay later, if not they usually the call the police.
