On average you have 5 tables an hour, maybe less, maybe more. Each table, depending on size tips around 5 dollars. The larger the group the larger the bill the larger the tip. Be friendly, get them talking, you'll make a lot more than the average.

Basically at a lunch time shift from 11:30-3:30 you make around 40ish dollars. At dinner time, because meals are more expensive and people tend to order liqour, I would say around 70, on good nights, over 100.

I use to work at Applebees, it was a very busy location, so sometime I made a little more than that.

If this is your first serving gig, its a nice bonus, keep serving, work there for a year, move up to something classier and soon you will work at a 5 star restraunt as I do and average 180-300 a night. I work three nights a week and go to full time University, it makes for a lot of extra cash.
