What is it like working at applebees?

Im applying there and most likely getting a job. Will I start out as a hostess first? Server? How much does a server get paid?What is it like working at applebees?
I really didn't like working for applebee's. I was a waitress and despite what you might think I didn't make a whole lot of money and people were constantly complaining about their steaks and stuff and the managers were rude to all the new people every time we asked a question. I'm not a bad waitress too!



servers get 2.83 an hour plus tips and have to tip out 3% of there sales so if means at the end of the night you usually have to pay the managers $13.ish of what you made

Less than minimum wage plus tips for a server and around the same for host. Hosts get tipped out too. Also you tip out 2 % of your sales at the end of every shift. I worked at Applebees for two years. It's a good restaurant to get server experience. Corporate restaurants suck though. There's secret shoppers and stupid promos. It's a good jumping off point for servers. I also met some of my best friends there. They started me as a hostess for three months, then expo, then server. It depends on your experience. A server is paid minimum wage plus tips. Tips vary. It depends what city you're in.What is it like working at applebees?
man is really good during christmas once i got a 50 dollar tip but i got fired for getting there late its pretty good though
